For our Client, the technological partner of one of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley, we are looking for:

Job requirements:

Technical Must Have:

  • Very Strong Ruby on Rails knowledge (2+ years of practical experience);
  • Good understanding of HTML 5 / CSS 3 / Javascript;
  • Good understanding of jQuery / CoffeeScript;
  • Practical understanding of OOP (SOLID principles);
  • Experience in JS single-page apps (experience in one of the following frameworks: Backbone.js, Angular.js, Knockout.js or something similar);
  • Git / GitHub;
  • Linux / Unix / Shell;
  • Experience in producing and consuming REST / SOAP interfaces.

Non-technical Must Have:

  • Can Do Attitude;
  • Ability to self-manage;
  • Passion, willingness and ability to learn quickly and continuously improve;
  • Pbility to solve problems under limited or not complete information;
  • Start-up mindset (understanding of Minimal Viable Product, understand for constantly changing requirements);
  • Ability to work during non-business hours (in the case of rollout / deployments, production failures);
  • Be ready to travel to the USA for several weeks or months, if you will be willing to.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience in node.js;
  • Experience in other programming languages (Java, C, Python);
  • DevOps experience (knowledge of servers configuration. monitoring, provisioning, Linux system troubleshooting);
  • Experience with microservices, RabbitMQ or other messaging solutions;
  • Experience in WebSockets.
