Job description:
- Reviews and validates requirements, user stories and other business documentation
- Takes active part in refinements, offers valuable feedback
- Develops and executes test plans
- Creates detailed test cases based on requirements and/or user stories and other business documentation using appropriate tools
- Documents results; offers observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
- Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation
- Executes manual testing
- Executes regression testing, smoke testing
- Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization
- Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes
- Effectively manages time and testing effort across many projects and tasks under tight deadlines
- Collaborates with other testers to deliver quality on integrated increment
- Mentors and provides training assistance to Associate QA Engineers
- Is an expert in business processes and how they are supported through IT systems
- Shares knowledge with others e.g. onboarding of new testers
Job requirements:
- At least 2+ years quality assurance experience
- ISTQB Foundation certificate, others nice to have
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development Frameworks (e.g. SCRUM)
- Experience with web-based application testing
- Experience with integration testing between applications
- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and provides solutions
- Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required
- A team player and self-starter who will work together with the development team
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies,tools, best practices and the testing life cycle
- Ability to work independently, proactive, and self-managed
- Familiarity with scripting languages used in test automation
