Responsibilites:
- Create visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces for mobile games projects following best practices in user-centred design across a range of visual styles.
- Work together with the UX, product and design teams to imagine, specify and define features that will result in engaging and user-friendly UI design.
- Create 2d art and visual design for user interfaces (icons, objects, logos, banners)
- Deliver interface elements from both a creative and technical standpoint
- Develop mood boards and help guide the visual design of features
- Collaborate with the art team to define/adhere to a thematic art style
- Establish a strong visual design hierarchy
- Work with UI Lead to achieve desired visual direction and ensure consistency on each project
- Work closely with the design team to take important UX/UI-heavy features from concept to completion on a live product
- Collaborate with Engineers implement assets in the engine (Unity)
Job requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience as a UI Designer in mobile games
- A portfolio showcasing a solid understanding of layout, typography, color and composition
- Core logo and iconography skills and understanding of design fundamentals
- Experience in Photoshop, creating UI screens all the way to finished mock-ups
- Experience in Illustrator vector creation to create game-ready iconography
- Passion for making and playing games and have a strong sense of player empathy
- Experience with motion design & UI animation, preferably for games or interaction design
- Understanding of UX design practices & principles
