The USB stick content for version 1.0 of FreedomEV can be downloaded here.
Format a USB stick with ext4 filesystem on the first partition and extract the tgz file as root user onto that.
Ensure that all the files and directories are not into a subdirectory otherwise the stick will not be recognised.
Alternatively, you can write this filesystem image to a 32Gb or larger USB stick: freedomev.image
